If you’re looking for a fabulous shoo fly cake recipe…here it is! Living in the heart of Amish country has its advantages. A large majority of Amish are farmers, so that means there’s a lot of beautiful farm country around.
When I was young, I didn’t really appreciate the beauty of Pennsylvania, but as I got older and wiser I started looking at things much differently and now do my best to not take things for granted. I still enjoy seeing an Amish buggy traveling in the countryside and the first time you see an Amish horse and buggy in the Walmart parking lot will make you smile.
The Amish are know for their good down-home cooking and this shoo fly Cake recipe is no exception. It’s super easy to make, very moist and delicious. I make it pretty regularly because my family loves it. it makes a great morning snack or a tasty dessert after dinner. Don’t let the simplicity of this cake fool you…it’s wonderful! Try it and I’m fairly certain it will become one of your favorites.
