I love cooking with lavender. Lavender syrup is great for making cocktails, soda, candy and lots of other things limited only by your creativity and imagination. Here’s a very simple recipe for lavender syrup.
This recipe makes two cups of syrup.
- ½ cup dried organic lavender
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 11/4 cup water
- In a small saucepan bring all ingredients to a boil over medium heat. Lower the heat and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool, strain and store in a sterilized bottle in the refrigerator.
